Summary:White House Counsel, Greg Craig, is being replaced for a veteran white house lawyer Bob Bauer because of a dispute over plans to close the U.S. military prison in Cuba. Democratic officials said Craig was ousted because of frustration over his handling of the plans to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay.
Personally, I feel bad for Mr. Craig. I feel as if he's being used as a scapegoat for other people's mistakes and mess ups. Craig was one of the lawyers defending then-President Bill Clinton during his impeachment trial. He also became an early and active supporter of Obama, which probably angered supporters of Sen. Hillary Clinton. Even the roles in government have become a popularity contest.
