Summary: After the passing of the new Health Care Bill, Democrats are already threatening to block the bill from getting to the President's desk due to the prohibition on abortion. The new bill does not cover the expenses of abortions. Even private insurance companies are being told to deny anyone under health care reform from purchasing a plan including abortion coverage.
In my opinion, I believe that the health care bill should be changed. It is not up to the government to decide what is right for a woman to do to her body. Although some may find abortions morally wrong, it could potentially save someone's life. Since the unemployment rate and poverty rate is constantly increasing, it is all the more reason to add abortion coverage to the health care bill.
